The Prickly Pear.

I call Sacramento home. Born and Raised. The last 13 years have been spent living right inside the city center and I love everything about it. There’s always a bit of excitement to see other locals rising up in our hometown and creating something truly special…like my girl Mona, mother of The Prickly Pear. It’s been a labor of love getting her idea off the ground and into a new spot downtown on 8th & U street.

I took my camera bag with me to attend her Grand Opening a couple weeks ago and let me tell you, I can’t believe the transformation! You walk into the backyard and its like our own little private desert oasis, full of tiny (and big) cactus babies for you to claim as your own. There’s even a barn you can rent for your very own parties and events. How cool is that?!

I’m already dreaming of my next trip to The Prickly Pear, but for now, I’ll just sit here swooning over this blog post and checking out her Instagram stories. (She has the cutest doggies!) Go give her a follow if you aren’t already! @the.prickly.pear

Store hours are Sundays 10-5 or you can sign up for her next Pot n’ Sip if you can’t wait till then! Check www.shopthepricklypear.com for dates and times.
