From lost cat to house cat.

As I wait for film to develop and scans to be made, I'll tell you the story of how we added another family member to our home.

On the list of surprises in this short year we've had so far, getting another cat was not something I saw coming. To be honest, I thought I'd have another human baby before I'd adopt another furry one! I guess it's just proof that 2018 has it's own plans and I'm just along for the ride.

Over the course of four days, we checked for a microchip, put out signs, and asked around our neighborhood to see if this baby kitty lived with anyone we knew. She is so loving and gentle with The Goo that we were a little heartbroken when we received a text at the end of the weekend that little cat belonged to someone. I knew we didn't need another pet, but also couldn't bear the idea of giving her back. We told our neighbor how happy she was here and if they though about rehoming her to let us know because we would be delighted to keep her. Sure enough, they said they would be sad, but since she was an outdoor kitty, living indoors with us seemed like the best choice for her. We were SHOCKED. Audrey was so excited and they've been buddies ever since. Expect a flood of photos of The Goo and her baby in the future.

We took lots of pictures this week, but all on film. A phone photo will have to do for now. Just a couple of Pretty, Pretty, Princesses XOXO
